Chapter 3: Chemical Kinetics: The Chemical Kinetics chapter helps you understand how fast reactions occur and what affects their speed. You will learn about average and instantaneous reaction rates, factors like concentration, temperature, and catalysts, reaction order and molecularity, rate laws, rate constants, and half-life for zero- and first-order reactions. 

The chapter also introduces collision theory, activation energy, and the Arrhenius equation.

Chapter 4: The d-and f-Block Elements 

This chapter explains the basics of transition, lanthanoid, and actinoid elements. You will learn their electronic configurations, where they are found, and their main properties.

For first-row transition metals, the chapter covers trends like metallic character, ionization enthalpy, oxidation states, ionic radii, colour, catalytic behavior, magnetic properties, interstitial compounds, and alloy formation. It also includes the preparation and properties of K₂Cr₂O₇ and KMnO₄.

Chapter 5: Coordination Compounds: This chapter introduces coordination compounds and explains ligands, coordination numbers, colours, magnetic properties, shapes, and the IUPAC naming rules for simple compounds.

For haloarenes, you will learn about the C–X bond, their substitution reactions, and how halogens affect these reactions. The chapter also covers the uses and environmental effects of important compounds like dichloromethane, trichloromethane, tetrachloromethane, iodoform, freons, and DDT.

Chapter 7: Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers: This chapter explains Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers, which are important groups in organic chemistry. You will learn their nomenclature, methods of preparation, and their physical and chemical properties. 

The chapter covers primary, secondary, and tertiary alcohols, the dehydration mechanism, and the uses of methanol and ethanol. Chapter 8:Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids: This chapter explores three major classes of organic compounds that contain carbonyl groups. Special emphasis is placed on important reactions such as nucleophilic addition, oxidation–reduction, the haloform reaction, and esterification.
