Number System: 

This chapter explains and covers irrational numbers, terminating and non-terminating decimals, laws of exponents for real numbers, and representation of real numbers on the number line. It also explains how to locate square roots of real numbers and use them in practical problems.

Polynomials: 

Here, you study polynomials in one variable, their degree, terms, and coefficients. Special polynomials like linear, quadratic, and cubic are introduced. The chapter also discusses the Remainder Theorem and Factor Theorem.

Coordinate Geometry: 

This chapter introduces the Cartesian plane and how to plot points using ordered pairs (x,y)(x, y)(x,y). It explains the relation between the x-axis, the y-axis, the origin, and the quadrants, along with examples of locating points in different quadrants.

Linear Equations in Two Variables: 

This chapter deals with equations of the form ax + by + c = 0. Students learn how to find solutions, plot them graphically, and understand the concept of a straight line. Applications of linear equations in daily life are also discussed.

Introduction to Euclid's Geometry:

This is a theoretical chapter that introduces the basics of geometry through Euclid's postulates and axioms. It lays the foundation of mathematical reasoning and deductive proofs in geometry.




Lines & Angles: 

This chapter focuses on different types of angles, angle relationships, and properties of intersecting and parallel lines. It explains concepts like vertically opposite angles, alternate angles, corresponding angles, and the angle sum property of a triangle.

 Triangles: 

Here, you study different properties and criteria for congruence of triangles (SSS, SAS, ASA, and RHS). The Pythagoras Theorem and inequalities in triangles are also covered in detail.

Quadrilaterals: 

This chapter discusses the properties of quadrilaterals, with a focus on the theorem that the sum of angles of a quadrilateral is 360°. Special properties of parallelograms and conditions for their diagonals are also studied.

Circles: 

In this chapter, you explore different properties of a circle, such as tangents, chords, and angles subtended by an arc. Theorems related to chords, equal chords, and cyclic quadrilaterals are explained.

Heron’s Formula: 

This chapter introduces Heron’s formula for finding the area of a triangle when all three sides are known. The formula is also applied to problems involving quadrilaterals and other shapes split into triangles.

Surface Area & Volumes: 

This chapter covers surface areas and volumes of 3D shapes like a cuboid, a cube, a sphere, a hemisphere, a right circular cone, and a cylinder. Real-life applications of mensuration are included.

Statistics: 

This chapter introduces data handling and focuses on the collection, presentation, and interpretation of data. Students learn to represent data using bar graphs, histograms, and frequency polygons, along with measures of central tendency (mean, median, & mode).
